History of healthcare auditing and certification expertise

The managing director of Health Audit NZ Ltd is Dr Mike Thornber and he has been managing and performing audits in the healthcare sector since 1993.  Health Audit NZ Ltd commenced trading in 1999.  Its original management and auditor team have been providing auditing and certification services since 1993.  The agency was accredited in 2001 by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) as a Member of The DAA Group.  In 2009 Health Audit NZ Ltd was accredited to international best practice auditing standards by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ). Since 1999, Health Audit NZ Ltd has grown and developed to where it is today – a highly respected provider of a diverse range of auditing and certification services to a wide spectrum of healthcare provider clients: health, disability, clinical, clinical support, non-clinical support, managerial, home, community and social services.

Health Audit NZ Ltd is designated by the Director-General of Health as a Designated Auditing Agency (DAA) for certification audits for the Ministry of Health.
