Certification
Health Audit NZ Ltd is accredited to international auditing best practice standards (ISO 17021) by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ). Adherence to these best practice standards gives assurance of a robust audit process and ensures that the certification decision made by Health Audit NZ is independent and impartial. As a part of meeting these best practice standards, the lead auditor’s recommendation of certification is independently assessed to confirm that all stages of the audit process have been completed correctly. Health Audit NZ can then award certification in the form of a certificate that displays the details of your organization and the certification standards.
Some Health audit NZ certification programmes involve approval and endorsement by an association that represents the healthcare sector being audited. In these situations, the certification recommendation will include this approval and certification process. Certification normally lasts for three years after which the client may choose to renew the certification. Your certification details will be entered onto the Health Audit NZ Registry which is a publically available document used to confirm your certification details. Note that - audits performed by Health Audit NZ Ltd as a Designated Auditing Agency results in the audit report being submitted for review by the Ministry of Health - HealthCERT. Following the review, the Director-General of Health awards certification for up to five years. Next stage - Surveillance |
